Genetically Engineered PlantsThroughout Alberta's history scientists have been working on new and better ways to develop our natural resources. New technologies are essential and something that resource development companies depend on to lower costs and improve productivity. 

In this section we explore research and innovations in our resource industries from the early days up until today. This research has all been done in Alberta and reflects the unique demands of this province. These new ways of thinking about and doing things are instrumental and keep industries moving forwards in an era of fierce competition and increased consumer demand.
