The Leduc No. 1 Interpretive Centre is located
two kilometres south of Devon on Highway 60 and is in the centre of the world-famous Leduc-Woodbend Oilfield on the site of Leduc
No.1. The centre contains artifacts, photos, scale models and colourful storiesall designed to give the viewing public a taste of what it was like to be a part of
Alberta's oil history.
The centre also houses a tribute to Alberta oilpatch pioneers, which
helps bring the grit and determination of this industry to life.
The Canadian Petroleum
Interpretive Centre has helped guide us through portions of Alberta's
Natural Resources, and we would especially like to thank Executive
Director Kim Gough for
her guidance during the project.
