Peat Harvest near AthabascaThere has been growing concern of late that Alberta's natural resources be developed in a conscientious, responsible manner. Both government and private agencies are currently working to ensure that Alberta's agricultural resources are developed in a way that will sustain Albertans for years to come.

In this section we explore some of the steps that are being taken to sustain soil and agriculture in Alberta today. These measures include actions on the part of agricultural producers, as well as groups that have been formed with the goal of increasing the sustainability of Alberta's soil and agriculture industry.
