Lesson 2 - Generalization and Rationale

Generalization

People cooperate with each other in our community to meet needs.

Rationale

Historically, Aboriginal People not only had to work well and cooperate with each other to ensure survival, they also had to work with the animals in a respectful way in order to meet their needs. This lesson plan allows students to understand how Aboriginal People traditionally valued animals, particularly the buffalo, and how animals are still respected in Aboriginal culture today.
