In this article, the Frattin family history is told, from the opening of their first bakery, in 1960, to the newly opened "Italian Bakery III", including the thoughts of Tony and Aurora Frattin on family and clientele.

Infatti come a rimarcare il primo anniversario dell'apertura della Italian Bakery II, Antonio e Aurora Frattin ne hanno aperta un'altra al 7910-118 Ave. con il nome di Italian Bakery III. Sicch? cogliendo l'occasione ci siamo incontrati con i Frattin. Qui abbiamo scoperto un'altra delle passioni di Tony: il giardino. Tutto in vasi -e recipienti in quanto coltivato sul terrazzo sovrastante l'Italian Bakery I.

 
Edmonton District Congress Hosts National Executive

The national executive of the National Congress of Italian- Canadians chose Edmonton as the site of its recent meeting which took place on May 29th to 31st. The policy of holding meetings at various locations across the country is intended to bring national and regional Congresses together for the sharing of information on a variety of issues that will have an impact on Italian Canadians.

The national day of the Republic of Italy was celebrated in style at the Santa Maria Goretti Community Centre on sunday afternoon, June 7th, at an event co-hosted by the Vice-Consul of Italy, Mrs. Bincoletto and President Adriana Aibi Davies of the National Congress of Italian-Canadians, Edmonton District.

This article relates the commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Scalabrini Fathers, at Santa Maria Goretti Community Centre. In 1887, Giovanni Battista Scalabrini created a congregation of missionaries to serve the Italian immigrants; they established churches, helped compatriots celebrate births and deaths, and adapt to their new lives in Little Italy.
