Italian Settlement at Venice, Alberta

Month 2 Year 8 Volume 3

Article in English

The first settlers of Venice arrived in North America in 1911. The small group landed at New York harbour from northem Italy and spent a brief period of time working on the railroads in Boston. Moving west with the wave of immigrants, the group of young men settled in Kansas for a year, where they worked in the coal mines.

Venice.
