Friends of Rutherford House Society

Rutherford HouseIt is the mandate at the Rutherford House to promote, educate and interest our visitors in the history of Rutherford House and Edmonton in 1915. We are assisted in attaining our objectives by the Friends of Rutherford House Society, a charitable organization dedicated to furthering the restoration and and operation of this provincial historic site. The Friends offer various opportunities to share in the Rutherford Story. Education programs are offered to school children of all ages. Lunch and afternoon tea are served in the Arbour Restaurant, open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 to 4:00 pm. The Whatnot Shop stocks beautiful Edwardian reproductions from linens to books, jewellery and candy. Stop by the shop any day during regular operating hours. The Friends of Rutherford House Society also offer opportunities for you to host private events in this stately home: from family milestones, weddings, and baby showers to a distinct and memorable office or community celebration. Become a Friend...help support Rutherford House and its operations, and enjoy special discounts and member events.

Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site is located at 11153 Saskatchewan Drive, on the University of Alberta campus. Call (780) 427-3995 for information on group tours and education programs. Toll free in Alberta, dial 310-0000.
