Canada's transmission pipeline
companies are represented by the Canadian Energy
Pipeline Association (CEPA). Pipelines are vital to
the oil and gas industry's ability to supply their
customers throughout Canada and the United States.
The Association is governed by a board, which is comprised of
industry leaders such as executives from Duke
Energy, ATCO, TransCanada, and other companies.
These executives bring a wealth of knowledge and
expertise to the board, and make an important contribution
to the pipeline industry.
The Canadian Energy Pipeline
Association’s priorities rely on their members to
support all their policies and create a stronger
industry. Many complex issues are in the CEPA’s list
of priorities, including environmental stability,
Aboriginal relations, land usage, and climate
change. The members in CEPA also address issues
regarding industry regulations, fiscal frameworks,
and employee health and safety. CEPA shows that
there exists a strong sense of community integrity
and corporate stewardship in the pipeline industry.
