The
Canadian
Petroleum Products Institute (CPPI) is an
association of companies in the petroleum industry
who are involved in refining, distributing, and marketing
petroleum products.
The CPPI works to enhance the competitiveness of the
industry by promoting environmental and social
responsibility, while continuing to satisfy customer
demands. With
members such as Esso and Shell, CPPI is
recognized as a vital part of the Canadian petroleum
industry. Members of the Institute promote the health and safety of their employees,
customers, and general public, and with assistance
from CPPI, they use science
to prioritize risk and implement cost-effective
management. Made available to the public, Environmental and Safety Performance
Reports illustrate the
member companies' environmental and safety
performance improvements. As well, the CPPI
publishes industry guides and funds Fuel Facts, a
gasoline price monitor report for the public.
