Special events at the High Prairie and District
Museum include the Strawberry Tea, held in May. The tea is arranged to
acknowledge special individuals or groups in the community. A Penny
Carnival is also held each year featuring games and fun for children
of all ages for only the cost of a few pennies. Another special
feature of the Museum is a travelling exhibit of the Grouard-Peace
River Trail.
The Museum is open year round. Summer hours are in
effect from June to September, running Tuesday to Friday from 10:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Winter
