La Crete Mennonite Heritage Village
Mennonite Home
gives you the feel for what a house would look like on the prairies. The main part of the house is showing. Attached is the stable. The
stable was attached to prevent horse thief and it was easier to check
on the animals in the winter. The house also has a kitchen, living
room, two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. In the
middle of the house runs a fireplace to give
central heating.
Flour Mill
was built out of a battle for competition against the Hudson's Bay
Company. The Mill is fully operational and demonstration are
given during the summer months.
Old Barn
Peter Gibb's House
holds many treasures of the past that you would need in pioneer
life.
Old

is used to store the maintenance tools and equipment for the
Mennonite Village.
Store
is filled with old magazines, old oil cans, tobacco
tin, furs, hides, toys, drills and much more.
