Displays
The collection housed at the Pioneer Thresherman's
Museum includes a number of antique agricultural vehicles and
implements. Most of the larger pieces are displayed in the open air,
whereas smaller artifacts, such as antique domestic pieces, are housed in the main
museum building as well as other historic buildings on site.
Antique Tractor Collection
Come explore the era when the tractor replaced the
horse as the puller of plows. The museum currently has an antique
tractor display covering the years from 1909 to the 1950s.
Steam Engines
The age of steam power is represented with the
vintage steam powered engines and agricultural machinery on site. Some
of the artifacts on display are working models, and offer the curious
visitor exciting demonstrations on how early farm equipment would have
been used by pioneers.
Historic Buildings
Various historic buildings can be explored
throughout the Museum's
seven-acre grounds, including a blacksmith shop with a working
forge, a flour mill, and a pioneer cabin furnished with period artifacts.
Some buildings, such as the United Church building, can be rented out
for weddings
