Canadian Northern Railway Society

Big Valley Station

The Canadian Northern Railway Society is dedicated to preserving Alberta heritage railway stations and accompanying railway objects and vehicles. The Society has three sites: Big Valley, Meeting Creek, and Camrose. In 2007, the Canadian Northern Railway Society will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The Camrose site is part of the city’s park system and the museum collection is housed in a 1911 Canadian Northern Railway depot. The site includes the Morgan Railway Garden and the Station Tea Room and houses the Canadian Northern Railway Society’s archives and library.

Hours and Admission:
Mid-May – September 1
Monday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Tea Room Hours:
Thursday, Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
