Innisfail & District Historical Village

Celebration

The Innisfail & District Historical Village is located 2 ½ blocks west of the water tower on 42 Street and 52 Avenue, Innisfail. The Innisfail & District Historical Village is dedicated to preserving and housing the history of the Innisfail District. The village is made up of seventeen historic buildings spread over two acres of land. Visitors to the village can see how life was in the Innisfail district prior to the 1940s. Farm machinery and early cars are only a few of the artefacts that are shown at the museum. One of the buildings is a log house that is the only remaining original stopping house from the Calgary- Edmonton trail.

There is a day-use picnic area at the village and tea every summer Friday in the Tea Room. “Pioneer Wednesdays” is a children’s program, and the Innisfail & District Historical Village also offers school tours and other special programs.
