Medicine Wheel

Picture a wheel lying on the ground on its side. Medicine Wheels are found on the ground in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Wyoming. The Aboriginals built them. They usually have a small circle of stones placed in the middle of larger circles made of stones. Though the true purpose of these stones is not known, some aboriginal groups believe that they symbolize (stand for) the meaning of the universe. They are called wheels because that is what they look like from above. They are not wheels that go on wagons or cars!
