Jurisdictions

In Canada we elect people to represent us in government at different levels: federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal (local). The Constitution grants different areas of responsibility and power to the federal Parliament and provincial Legislatures. These responsibilities and areas of power are known as jurisdictions.
