Banff National Park

Founded in 1895, Banff National Park is Canada's oldest national park. The park was originally created to protect the hot springs which had been discovered in 1883. The park is the most visited national park in Canada.

Elk, deer, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, moose, black and grizzly bears, and other large and small mammals, birds and fish, live in the park's diverse ecosystem.
