Fabbri, Joe

Joe Fabbri came to Lethbridge in 1925 from Urbino, Italy. His cousin lived in
Lethbridge and told him to come over as a farmer. Joe worked on a farm for a
year before being hired on at the Brewery as a truck driver initially, and later
he got a job inside. He worked for the Brewery until he retired in 1965. While
living in Lethbridge Joe helped form The Italian Canadian Club which helped out
other Italians in times of need. Joe also served as a representative for the
Vice Consul of Calgary, welcoming Italian immigrants at the train station and
helping them adjust to Canadian life.
