This is an excellent resource for teachers as it examines the realistic portrayals of Aboriginal peoples in children's literature. Stereotyping is examined as well as the works of several renowned authors and illustrators.


Native Stereotyping-Video

Native Multi-Media (MGR)

This video examines stereotyping of Aboriginal people and how it has effected them past and present. It focuses on stereotypes present in movies, posters, names of sports teams etc. The video is an excellent catalyst for classroom discussion.
