This excerpt from Brothers from Vietnam is filmmaker Carl Bessai's personal account of his family and their relationship to the Lai family, Vietnamese 'Boat People' who came to Edmonton in 1979 after surviving war and famine.

This film is one of the Scattering of Seeds series from White Pine Pictures. The series celebrates the character of immigrants who staked their futures and those of their families on a second chance in Canada.
