Each of the ethnic groups in Alberta identify with certain places of historical and cultural significance
to their community. These places are often towns or districts where groups of people of the same ethnic
origin settled together, are centres of religious worship, or various other places where community
activity or organization have taken place. These places obviously differ from group to group and within
the individual groups themselves. We have attempted to provide just a brief example or two of the many
culturally significant places to the various groups scattered across the province.
