The Western Aviators’ There were many challenges in the early days of commercial aviation in Alberta. Until that time, travelling across wide-open spaces and wilderness proved to be slow and difficult. Aircraft provided the solution to the need for transportation to many remote and distant places. It was not long before individuals and companies looked to the new pilots and aircraft to help open up the distant reaches of the north.
