Long Range Interceptor

CF-101B Voodoo The CF-101B, known as the Voodoo, was designed as a long-range interceptor and reconnaissance jet fighter. The aircraft served with No. 409 in Comox, British Columbia, No. 410 in Uplands, Ontario, No. 414 based in Namao, Alberta, No. 416 at Chatham, New Brunswick, and No. 425 from Bagotville, Quebec.

The CF-101B used two Pratt & Whitney J57-P-55 engines that produced 4,627 kilograms of thrust. With the afterburner, the engine produced 6,749 kilograms of thrust. It had a maximum speed of 1,825 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 10,670 meters. The CF-101B had a cruising speed of 887 kilometers per hour. It could climb 15,000 meters per minute with a service ceiling of 16,700 meters.

The CF-101B had a range of 2,445 kilometers.
