) The CF-18 Hornet was
developed with many capabilities including air-to-air and
air-to-ground combat.
The aircraft operates with several armaments for air-to-air combat including Sidewinder and Sparrow air-to-air missiles. The Hornet can also play a role in ground combat with the use of the Maverick air-to-ground missile. It can be used to drop conventional bombs as well as precision-guided bombs and rockets. The CF-18 also has a M-62 20 millimetre cannon. |
