Hauled fish

Through the winter of 1934 to 1935, Grant McConachie’s four planes, each with a mechanic and a pilot, hauled half a million kilograms of fish from Peter Pond Lake in Northern Saskatchewan to Cheecham, Alberta. To meet this volume of work, the aircraft had to fly six days a week.

McConachie had netted this type of work before when he transported fish in 1931 from Cold Lake to Bonnyville in 1931.
