The painting is a picture of "Duel of the Eagles". The painting is signed by Adolph Galland and Douglas Bader. NOTE: These signatures are badly faded and they appear as pale yellow. The painting was done by Robert Taylor. The frame size is 635 mm long x 530 mm wide and the frame is brown stained oak. The painting depicts the German plane behind and below the British Spitfire as they fly above the clouds over the countryside. The Spitfire has the ID DB on the fuselage. Over the painting is this notation "To Commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain 1940 to 1980"
