The Francophone Edmonton Online (Francophone Edmonton En-ligne) website makes full use of the powers of the World Wide Web.  This section of the website provides a range of digital multimedia resources that make the interesting past and vibrant present of the community come alive. 

  • Digital Archives — This section makes available a range of out-of-print books and unpublished manuscripts to deepen your understanding of Edmonton’s and Alberta’s Francophone past.

  • Edmonton Francophone Slide Show — See Francophone Edmonton from past to present through the camera of immigration historian Adriana A. Davies.

  • Manuel des regroupements francophones de l’Alberta—This important directory of Francophone organizations in Alberta was created by L’Association canadienne-française de l’Alberta (ACFA). Information is only available in French.

  • Oral Histories — This section allows community members to speak in their own words and provides a first-person account of historical events.

  • Saint-Jean Archives Virtual Exhibit — This section samples the rich resource of archival documents housed at Campus Saint-Jean’s Salle des archives established in 2005.

  • Timeline — Discover benchmark events in the history of contemporary Francophone Edmonton from 1949 to the present.

  • Video — In Alberta’s Francophone Community/Le patrimoine francophone de l'Alberta broadcaster, professor emeritus, and playwright France Levasseur-Ouimet unlocks the door to Alberta’s rich Francophone heritage.
