Snapshots of community life

We often write about the important historical events in the life of a community but we rarely take the time to talk about the people who did the behind the scene work. We also forget to talk about the more modest events that occur and that make up a large part of a community’s history. Here are a few of these everyday events – and the people who made them happen -  that marked the life of the Franco-Albertan community from 1946 to 1948 and from 1963 to 1970. When we add them up these small and modest occurrences give us a clearer picture of Francophone life during the late 40’s and during the 60’s, a decade that will prove to be a very important period in the history of the franco-albertan community.
