Societé francophone de communication de l'Alberta (SFCA)
Established in 1991, the Société francophone de communication de l’Alberta (SFCA) is comprised of a team of 12 technicians and specialists who offer a variety of services such as the creation of websites, graphic design, photography, typesetting, programming, the digitization of archival documents or educational material, and the compression and editing of video or audio recordings.
The SFCA manages a portal which provides information about upcoming activities of the French community in Alberta. The FrancAlta website has links to over 1,000 sites relevant to Alberta and the French-speaking world. An online newsletter is also published and can be subscribed to.
Founded by André Boudreau, a dynamic Acadian, the SFCA is located in the Centre Marie-Anne-Gaboury, Edmonton’s first French cultural centre.
