L’Unithéâtre

Established in 1992, L’Unithéâtre is the only professional francophone theatre troupe in Alberta. The troupe presents plays for young and old, and also offers theatre workshops in schools, be they partially French or immersion, across the province. The group is subsidized by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA).

At the theatre of the Cité Francophone in Edmonton, the group presents four plays for adults per season. In addition, they provide a provincial tour for adult audiences, the Festival théâtre jeunesse, the Bureau d’animation théâtrale, and the Festival de la dramaturgie des prairies.
