4 Claims.

1. A utility cabinet for use in kitchens and the like comprising in combination a substantially vertical casing, storage cupboards within said casing, an ironing board hinged to one face of said casing, a table top also hinged to said face and positioned to overlie said ironing board when in the extended position, said table top and said ironing board being capable of independent upwardly hingeing movement so as to lie recessed within said face, a closure panel on said face to enclose said ironing board when same is in the upward or retracted position, a cupboard shelf spanning the upper portion of said casing and dividing same into compartments, a vertically swinging door hinged to the front, edge of said shelf, said door being the closure member for either said upper. or lower compartments;

A utility cabinet for use in kitchens and the like comprising in combination a substantially vertical casing, storage cupboards within said casing, an ironing board hinged to one face of said casing, said ironing board being capable of upwardly hingeing movement so as to lie recessed within said face, and a closure panel on said face to enclose said ironing board when same is in the upward or retracted position, said closure panel comprising a vertically slidable and foldable articulated panel, trunnion pins extending from the outer edges of the upper portion of said panel, vertical guides within the sides of said cabinet within which said trunnion pins reciprocate, said guides curving inwardly at the upper ends thereof to retain said closure panel on said face when in the closed position.

3. The device according to Claim 2 which includes a cupboard shelf spanning the upper portion of said casing and dividing same into compartments, a vertically swinging door hinged to the front edge of said shelf, said door being the closure member for either said upper or lower compartments.

A utility cabinet for use in kitchens and the like comprising in combination a substantially vertical casing, storage cupboards within said casing, a cupboard shelf spanning the upper portion of said casing and dividing same into compartments, a vertically swinging door hinged to the front edge of said shelf, said door being the closure member for either said upper or lower compartments, an ironing board hinged to one face of said casing, a table top also hinged to said face and positioned to overlie said ironing board, when in the extended position, said ironing board and said table top being capable of upwardly hingeing movement so as to lie recessed within said face, and a closure panel on said face to enclose said ironing board and said table top when same are in the upward or retracted position, said closure panel including a pair of leaves hingedly connected together, the lower of said leaves being hingedly connected to the lower portion of said face, trunnion pins extending from the outer edges of the upper of said leaves, vertical guideways within said face, said trunnion pins engaging said guide-ways for vertical reciprocation therein, the upper ends of said guideways curving inwardly to secure said closure panel within said face when in the closed position, the upper ends of said leaves when in the open or downward position supporting said ironing board cantileverwise.
