Gluten Free Foods

It is Kinnikinnick’s line of gluten-free baked goods that has made the company’s name and reputation.

For those with celiac disease, a condition that prevents the digestion of gluten—a major component of wheat—alternative starch sources must be used in baking. The foods developed by Kinnikinnick Foods Inc. include baked goods such as breads, bagels, pizza crusts, and cookies, as well as baking mixes for home cooks.

The company markets to North America and Europe, and in 2005 opened six distribution facilities in the United States to supply an estimated 1,300 outlets.

In addition to its gluten-free products, Kinnikinnick has developed a line of products for type-1 or type-2 diabetics.
