Olson’s Curling Achievements

E.B. OlsonThe list of E.B. Olson’s achievements stretches beyond the drawing board and onto the curling rink. As a top-ranked athlete for much of his life, he won many curling tournaments including the Saskatoon Bonspiel in 1916, Nipawin’s $12,000 Bonspiel in 1948 and the Alberta Curling Association Bonspiel Championship in 1957. Olson and his team members were Challenge Cup Champions in Saskatoon and winners of the California International 1st Event in 1959. Olson has been inducted into both the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame and the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport of curling.
