The Travelbud

Drawing of the TravelbudThe Travelbud modifies car seats for smaller babies and infants with special needs, and prevents premature infants from sliding forward in a poorly fitted car seats. The system consists of three foam-filled support cushions, a head, body and harness, attached to each other with Velcro. Raised edges on the sides of the cushions provide further support and positioning for the infant. Health care professionals can modify the Travelbud by cutting the foam inside the cushions to customize the fit.

In addition to car seat modification, the cushions provide lateral support in numerous situations including: swings, bounce chairs, changing tables, strollers, wagons, shopping carts and bicycle carriers. It can also be used as an exercise mat, a travel bed and for side sleep support.
