Description: John Joseph McHugh, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Albert Wodman, Gibraltar, Firle, Lewes, Sussex, England, C inventors, llth June, 1907; 6 years. Filed 18th March 1907. Receipt No.145,177.

Claim.—1. In a temporary cattle stall the combination a lower sill having a cylindrical pocket therein, an upper sill having a cylindrical recess therein of greater depth than the pocket, and a smooth round stanchion extending between the two sills, gravity held in position, and adapted to be removed by raising and swinging the lower end laterally, as and for the purpose specified.

2. In a temproary cattle stall the combination of a lower sill having a pocket therein, and an upper sill having a recess therein of greater depth than the pocket, and a smooth stanchion normally gravity held in position with the lower end in the pocket and the upper end in the recess, the said stanchion being adapted to be removed by raising vertically and swinging the lower end laterally, as and for the purpose specified.

3. In a temporary cattle stall for cattle boats and the like the combination with the floor and the longitudinally extending deck joists, of lower sills connected to the flow and upper sills extending transversely of the deck joists and removably connected thereto, stanchions removable held between the upper and lower sills, the said stanchions being formed in pairs and having one end of each pair extending into slots n the upper sill, and locking ####### pivoted in the slots adapted to abut the top of stanchions, as and for the purpose specified.

4. A temporary cattle stall, comprising a lower sill having a slot therein, an upright adjustably secured in the slot, an upper sill having a recess therein into which the upright is adapted to extend, and a pivoted member within said recess adapted to abut the top of the upright and hold it in position, as and for the purpose specified.
