What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by letters patent, is-
In a fluid dip gauge Wiper, a pliable material for wiping, a vertical slit in said pliable material, a single spring wire bent round. upon itself to provide support for holding said pliable material and so shaped that both sides are embedded in said pliable material with both ends inturned giving contacting support to said vertical slit, a single wire embedded crosswise in said pliable material, substantially as set forth.
