Description: John Anderson Humes, Parnassus, Pennsylvania U.S.A., and James Milton McGarvey, Morningside, Alberta, Canada, assignee of a half interest, 23rd November, 1909; 6 years. Filed 22nd April, 1909. Receipt No. 169,428.

Claim.—A curtain pole having a longitudinal groove formed therein extending from end to end, knobs carried by the ends of said pole, a rivet carried by said pole intermediate at the end of said pole for engaging the furcated head, resilient rods pivotally connected to said head and adapted to fit within said groove, and revoluble clamps arranged at the ends of said pole for engaging the outer ends of said rods and retaining said rods within said groove, substantially as described.
