Jaycopter Specs
The
Jaycopter consisted of four main parts: the boom, the boom counterweight,
the tower and the fuselage. The boom, tower and fuselage were designed for
easy assembly, disassembly and transport. The boom counterweight could be
adjusted according to the weight of the passengers. The Jaycopter was
designed so that the fuselage could pitch and roll up to 30 degrees in
relation to the vertical support column.
The Jaycopter had a range of 100 feet (around 30 metres) in diameter with
a ceiling of 76 feet (23 metres). Features included an electric cabin
heater, an interior cabin light, an instrument panel light and two
exterior landing lights. The motive power was electricity, keeping the
cabin quiet, ideal for instruction in a normal voice.
