(2) In a blade sharpener embodying opposing sets of alternating sharpening discs, means for adjusting the sets of discs towards or away from one another.

(3) In a blade sharpener, a set of rotatably mounted sharpening discs carried by a fixed support and a set of rotatably mounted sharpening discs carried by a support movable towards or away from the former support.

(4) In a blade sharpener, a base provided with opposing side wings, a cross shaft carried by the wings, a set of similar spaced sharpening discs rotatably mounted on the shaft, a rocker member carried by the base, a cross shaft shiftable with the rocker member and movable towards or away from the former shaft, means for holding the rocker member in any adjusted position and a plurality of similar suitably spaced sharpening discs carried by the shiftable shaft and alternated with the former discs.

(6) In a blade sharpener, a base provided with opposing upstanding side wings, an elevated cross shaft carried by the wings, a plurality of suitably spaced sharpening discs rotatably mounted on the shaft, a pivotally mounted adjusting arm contained between the wings and provided with upstanding opposing side arms, a cross shaft carried by the side arms, a plurality of suitably spaced sharpening discs rotatably mounted on the latter shaft, the said latter discs being alternated in respect to the former discs and an adjusting screw carried by the adjusting arm and engageable with the base.

(6) In a blade sharpener, the combination with a set of rotatably mounted, suitably spaced sharpening discs, of a blade support mounted to take a substantially vertical position above the discs and to one side of the vertical plane passing transversely through the discs.
