Description: Alexander McDicken and Robert Holmes, co-inventors, Coleman, Alberta, Canada, 18th February, 1913; 6 years. Filed 7th September, 1912. Receipt No. 214,158.

Claim - A hose coupling comprising a pair of sleeves, one of which is formed with a tapered bore and a pair of triangular notches at the mouth thereof, a tapered neck formed integral with the second sleeve and adapted to engage the tapered bore of the first sleeve, a pair of diametrically opposite pins on each sleeve, a pair of triangular lugs on the neck arranged to engage the notches of the first sleeve and align the pins of both sleeves, links pivoted at one extremity on the pins of said first sleeve and offset near their opposite extremities, a yoke embracing the second sleeve pivoted at its extremities between the offset port-ions of the Inks, jaws on said yoke engaging the pins of the second sleeve, and a removable operating handle for said yoke, said jaws extending at right to the arms of said yoke and said yoke having an opening for the reception of an operating handle.
