2 Claims.
1. In a ball washer for a faucet with a stem having a cup at its lower end to receive the washer, said washer having a continuous circumferential groove therearound, and is rotatably held in the cup of the stem by means of a circumferential ridge at the inner edge of the cup whereby said washer will rotate only in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the said stem, a friction reducing hollowed dome shaped cap in close contact with the washer and contacting a fractional area in the centre part of said cup, and in free contacting engagement therewith, a stem integral with said cap and axially perpendicular therewith and having a smooth or roughened surface, and a hole in the washer axially perpendicular with the plane of the said groove therearound to receive the said cap stem.

In a ball washer for a faucet with a stem having an inverted cup at its lower end to receive the said washer for about half of its circumference, said washer having a continuous circumferential ridge therearound and is rotatably held in the cup of the stem by means of a circumferential groove at the edge of the cup inwardly disposed, whereby the washer will rotate only in a plane perpendicular to the axis of said stem, a friction reducing hollowed dome shaped cap in close contact with the washer and contacting a fractional area in the centre part of a said cup, and in free contacting engagement therewith, a stem integral with said cap and axially perpendicular therewith and having a smooth or roughened surface, and a hole in the washer axially perpendicular with the plane of the said ridge therearound to receive the said cap stem.
