Claim.—1. A mowing machine having a stubble side traction wheel of less diameter than the grain side traction wheel.

2. A mowing machine including the main frame and axle and a stubble side traction wheel and a grain side traction wheel, the stubble side traction wheel being of less diameter than the grain side traction wheel.

3. A mower including an axle, a grain side traction wheel and a stubble side traction wheel mounted to rotate upon said axle, said stubble side traction wheel being of less diameter than the grain side traction wheel, a sickle device extending beyond the grain side traction wheel, means operative from the stubble side traction wheel for actuating the sickle device, and means for attaching a draft tongue relative to said axle intermediate the traction wheels.

4. A mowing machine including the main frame and axle, and a stubble side traction wheel and a grain side traction wheel, the stubble side traction wheel being of less diameter than the grain side traction wheel, and means for attaching a draft tongue to said frame intermediate the traction wheel.

5. In a mowing machine, a main frame, an axle, a grain side traction wheel and a stubble side traction wheel on said axle, said stubble side traction wheel being of less diameter than the grain side traction wheel, a sickle device, means for operating the sickle device from the stubble side traction wheel, and means for attaching a draft tongue intermediate the ends of the frame.
