Air Quality

Clean air, like clean water, is a basic human right. However, pollution, in all its forms, is jeopardizing society's reliance on clean air. Air pollution problems will only exacerbate unless strict measures to curb pollution are implemented. In Alberta, the expansion of the natural gas industry is a serious threat to clean air. Not only does air pollution present a problem for humans, compounds found in the air like sulphur, can attack animals and vegetation living in the area. Because much of the increase in air pollution can be prevented, every measure should be taken to do so.
