An
extremely hard worker, John Niddrie has not been forgotten by the
community he served. Honoured with a plaque at the Morley church, the
missionary's generosity and dedication to his pupils and congregation are
well remembered.
While he held attitudes that today seem
anachronistic, he acted with a selfless generosity and faith. He
contributed to the growth of the Morley community and those he worked with
in northern Manitoba. Many recall his ability to travel in rugged
conditions and as a strong man who carried more than his share of the
burden-an important contribution during a time when one's ability to travel
was often a matter of life or death.
