Chris Bolt
Born in London, England, Chris Bolt immigrated to Canada in 1968. He joined Canada Permanent Trust in 1973, beginning a 35 year (and counting) career in real estate. He was a salesperson for two years and manager for five before he moved on to Royal LePage for ten years. More recently he served as a broker for Sutton Group Canwest for 19 years, until February of 2007.
Chris Bolt has been active in organized real estate since he joined the Calgary Real Estate Board in 1973. He served as president in 1999, overseeing the construction of the board's new building on Manning Road N.E. In 2003, he became present of the Alberta Real Estate Association. That same year, he was honoured by the Calgary Real Estate Board with the prestigious T.W.H. (Bill) Saunders Memorial Award.
One of Chris Bolt’s greatest accomplishments was made during his term as president of the Calgary Real Estate Board's Charitable Foundation beginning in 2003. He came up with the idea of the Crestwood Housing Development, a government funded affordable housing project in the Ogden area. CREB's charitable foundation raised $1.5 million dollars for the Crestwood development.
Chris Bolt’s latest work has been launching his new company Chris Bolt International Realty, an internet-based real estate company. Bolt currently lives in Victoria, and has brokers' licenses in both Alberta and British Columbia.
