Allen, Mount

This mountain, 3310 m in altitude, was named in 1924 after Samuel Evan Stokes Allen (1874-1945), a pioneer climber in the Rockies. Allen came from Philadelphia and visited the Rockies and Selkirks in 1891. He named several features in the Lake Louise area, including Valley of the Ten Peaks.

Approximately 50 km west north-west of Banff, on the Alberta-B.C. boundary.
