Alice, Lake

This lake was named in 1898 by the Reverend Harry P. Nichols (1850-1940), after his wife. Reverend Nichols was rector of Holy Trinity Church in New York from 1899-1902. He was one of the founders of the American Alpine Club and climbed in the area at the turn of the century. Little is known of Alice Nichols. |
