McDonald Flats

Officially approved in 1947, the name for these flats may be taken from Donald McDonald, a well-known guide in the area. He was a packer and guide who also worked doing cable splicing and maintaining steam engines. He homesteaded near the old Grand Trunk Pacific Railway grade.

Approximately 14 km north-east of Grande Cache.
