Amery, Mount

Arthur O. Wheeler of the Alpine Club of Canada suggested the name and it was approved in 1927. Leopold Charles Maurice Stennett Amery (1873–1955) climbed the peak in 1929. An adventurer and WWI military intelligence officer, he was also an extensive traveller and mountaineer. He served in the British house of commons from 1911 to 1945.
