A "Name the Improvement District" contest was run through the local schools in 1993, and these suggestions were taken to public information meetings where the ratepayers were requested to vote on the names provided by the children. The name Greenview was chosen as it received the most votes from the ratepayers. The Municipal District was subsequently established in 1994. |
